I teach to transform, empower, and uplift individuals, equipping them to become responsible citizens. In my role, I strive to instil strong moral values, respect, ubuntu, compassion, discipline, and obedience, and to serve as a positive role model within my school community.
I am passionate about building a community for teachers because professional growth is essential for effective teaching. Having progressed from PL1 to PL4 as a principal, I aim to inspire and motivate fellow educators, both locally and in other provinces, through my own journey.
My interests in education focus on staying informed about advancements such as Artificial Intelligence, Education 4.0, and Coding and Robotics. I am committed to sharing this knowledge with colleagues and learners, particularly in deep rural areas, and actively participate in educational workshops and seminars.
My vision for education in South Africa is to provide quality learning opportunities for all, with a special emphasis on supporting schools with multi-grade classes. I advocate broad participation in initiatives such as the South African Mathematics and Science Olympiads and the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Scholarship, in line with the NDP Vision 2030 and the promotion of STEM subjects.
My superpower is being a lifelong learner and an engaged facilitator. I possess strong communication, creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, and I value teamwork, accountability, and respect for diverse perspectives.
