The Teachers’ Change Agent Network (Teachers CAN) is a teacher-led network working towards realising the potential of all children in South Africa.

We aim to:

Build a common professional vision and purpose for young teachers and their allies through the Teachers CAN Manifesto
Develop the individual and collective agency of young teachers as agents of change in South Africa
Facilitate an evidence-based public advocacy campaign to shed light on the perceptions and experiences of young teachers

Teachers are key to reimagining and rebuilding education in South Africa

The impact of COVID-19 on the South African education system is indisputable and, as schools reopen today, the Teachers’ Change Agent Network (Teachers CAN) believes that the opportunity for change lies with teachers.
