My name is Sphesihle Khoza, and I am a dedicated, lifelong learner serving as a Departmental Head at Gobeni Primary School. I chose the teaching profession because I am committed to helping and guiding the younger generation toward receiving a quality education. For me, teaching is fundamentally about shaping the future.
I am passionate about education because I believe it is the cornerstone of building an informed and united community. Education is the most powerful tool to break cycles of inequality and open doors to future opportunities.
My primary goal is to bridge the educational gap among learners at different levels. Inequality in education persists, and I am driven to address this disparity by providing quality learning experiences. I view teaching not just as the delivery of subject content, but also as a means of nurturing students’ confidence and curiosity. Additionally, I aim to foster an environment where learners feel supported, teachers feel empowered, and education serves as a bridge to greater opportunities.
My vision is to witness transformation within the education system, a transformation that empowers children from an early age, supports their holistic development, and enables them to become responsible, independent citizens. I am dedicated to making learning organised, engaging, and culturally relevant.
True transformation will occur when teachers collaborate, share ideas and resources, and implement creative tools to enhance both teaching and learning.
