Growing up I always wanted to bring a positive impact in my community. I teach because I want to empower, prepare and bring hope on learners and future generations. I want to inspire growing minds and instil the belief that they can become anything they desire through education. I want to inspire them to achieve their goals and be independent productive members of the society. I also love teaching because you never stop learning, you continue to learn and grow. Teaching is a calling for me and I teach to fulfil that calling.
The purpose is to cultivate in the learners a love for education and self improvement. I am passionate about forming a community for other teachers because we as teachers do not have support in the challenges that we face in our profession. Through our own community of young and vibrant teachers we can achieve quite a lot because not only will we be supporting each other but we will also be providing a platform to developing authentic relationships.
My goals and areas of interest in the education sector is to grow in my profession and acquire more knowledge, get managerial positions and continue to serve my purpose. My vision for education is to see all children in South Africa getting quality education, an education that embraces inclusivity, diversity, innovation and real world relevance. An education system that recognises the teachers and gives them support in all the challenges they might face as the world is revolving and evolving. My superpower is leadership as I am already a learder in my field of work.
