I am Nkgomotsang Pascalinah Gaorapelwe, currently teaching Foundation Phase (Grade 3). I am a dedicated and passionate teacher with a strong commitment to working with children and fostering their academic and personal growth.
At my age, I built a career as a teacher where I find fulfillment in creating engaging learning experiences for my learners. My enthusiasm extends beyond the classroom as I enjoy studying and continuously expanding my knowledge to enhance my teaching practices. The late ‘Mr Matjila my secondary teacher, may his soul rest in peace, was a committed teacher who worked effortlessly to support a black child. He treated every learner with love and respect irrespective of their learning abilities. I developed the love for teaching due to his practices. I also have passion for working with children and assisting them reaching their potential. Teaching is more than just imparting knowledge is about inspiring, guiding and nurturing learners to develop confidence and the love of learning. As a teacher, I take pride in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
I am particularly passionate about working with learners who face academic challenges as I believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in life. Through innovation and teaching strategies, patience and dedication I strive to make learning engaging and meaningful for all learners. Teachers are going through a lot in daily basis. I believe teachers need to meet and share their challenges with one another to come up with solutions instead of staying in their corner facing depression. These challenges are affecting learners and their loved ones. As an individual, I am committed to cultivate a strong collaborative community among educators. I believe in the power shared knowledge, mentorship and mutual support to enhance professional development and improve educational outcomes.
My area of interest in education include learning strategies, literacy development and using creative teaching approaches to reach learners with diverse needs.
I envision an education system in South Africa that is inclusive, equitable and empowering one that provides every learner, regardless of background or abilities with the opportunity to succeed especially in rural areas. Education should be a transformative tool that breaks the cycle of poverty, fosters critical thinking and prepares learners for a rapidly evolving world. Schools should be safe place to be, well resourced environment, where teachers are supported and valued as a key drives change. My strong vision include strong focus in inclusive education, where learners with barriers receive adequate support through implementing SIAS policies in all schools including training teachers, parental involvement. By building collaborative, learner centered system we can shape a future where every South African child reaches their full potential and contribute meaningful to society.
My superpower lies with empathy and understanding, I recognise that every learner and colleague are different and I respect their differences. I listen deeply, respond with compassion and adjust my approach to meet individual needs.
