I am an award winning educator recognised by the National Teaching awards in the Bojanala District. I absolutely feel like teaching has become such a calling for me and has allowed me to not only grow in career, but to realise the importance of playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of young children. I’ve achieved a lot in teaching including, extensively understanding how to offer support to children who have barriers in mainstream teaching thus allowing them to also reach their potential. I currently hold the position of a Departmental Head in the foundation phase and this has allowed me to share skills and knowledge that I have acquired over the years with other teachers. I have a powerful team in my school and I believe it’s very important to have a community one can rely on when shaping the lives of South African children.
