On 15 October 2022 Teachers CAN hosted its inaugural Teachers CAN Exchange.
It has been two weeks since we met in person at the Teachers CAN Exchange. What a wonderful experience that was being able to share with you the findings of the study we embarked on in 2021: An examination of young teacher experiences. Available for download here.
Not only were we able to share the research findings with a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about education, we were able to share some of the amazing ways that young teachers are navigating some complex issues in the education sector and living out a professional change agent identity. We were able to unpack with young teachers some of the issues we are facing in our various corners in what we like to call a generative community.
We are hoping to create more opportunities for us to meet in 2023 where we center the voices and experiences of young teachers to ensure that they are seen as valuable roles players in the sector we are all so passionate about.
